City Manager Recruitment

Asked the council to select a city manager who respects state and federal laws, embraces transparency, welcomes criticism, and has no ties to current city leadership amid ongoing investigations.

Stressed that the next city manager should hold an MPA, understand military community dynamics, maintain professional boundaries without cozy personal ties to officials, and have no history of scandals or terminations.

Urged the council to rigorously vet city manager candidates, demand accountability for past municipal issues, and question the use of paid search firms when internal staff could handle marketing.
